(Note: This document contains some special characters encoded in UTF-8 unicode). Contributors to the International English version. Included is the original Japanese version, an English (International) version, and the source code. Not only does it have full editing capabilities, it has an emulator built in so you can test the game from the exact point you’re editing. It is this author’s hope that this document will lower the barrier for one of the most used level design utilities. Description: This is the most amazing SMB editor yet. This document is written in an informal tone, and it may still contain a few inaccuracies as to how SMB Utility operates. Most of this information can be obtained through trial and error while using SMB Utility, but most people would probably appreciate some of this information being listed in document-form and saving them some time. It also aims to be a reference guide in listing all of the Edit Header options (including scenery options), a Vertical Height Table (including which objects / enemies are permitted at different heights), a Room Table (providing Room #’s with their equivalent level #’s as displayed in game), a Edit Text Table (including character lengths), and more. This guide’s purpose is to fill in some gaps in the official How To document. This is an unofficial help guide and reference document for M.K.S.’s excellent SMB Utility.
